"Embracing Gratitude: The Transformative Power of Thankfulness in Daily Life"
A guide to appreciation....
I'm not sure whether I'm the only one who dislikes seeing individuals use merely "tnx & thanks" to express gratitude for what someone did for them.
I’m not sure how it sounds, but it makes me squirm when I see someone say "Thanks" like way after a favor has been done for them.
Most of the time, I disregard it since I can't relate; I prefer "Thank you" to simply dropping off "thanks" for me, which makes me wonder if you aren't grateful for the favor being done to you.
And most of the time, when I do a thing for someone, I get a simple "Thanks". It freaks me out, makes me go mute, that I wouldn’t want to do what I’m meant to do for that person; if I’ve already done it, I’ll just become even more mute.
The fact is, feeling grateful is a strong emotion that entails recognizing and appreciating the goodwill, help, and desirable parts of life
It's an intense feeling of thankfulness that can provide happiness and fulfillment, going beyond just manners.
Acknowledging and expressing gratefulness widely for all of life’s blessings is the basis of practicing gratitude. It can fortify friendships, increase resilience, and improve mental health.
Having gratitude makes you feel good about yourself, makes you notice what you have instead of what you don't have, and makes you feel more connected to other people. A more contented existence in general can result from adopting an attitude of thankfulness.
It's crucial to express gratitude when you get a favor for several reasons:
- Courtliness: It conveys politeness and respect for the individual who assisted you.
- Interpersonal Structures: Expressing gratitude makes people feel good about themselves and their connections.
- Inspiration: It bolsters the readiness of the person who
assisted you in helping others in the future and motivates them. - Reckoning: It expresses thankfulness for any assistance or kindness given to you.
- Thankfulness: Thanking others makes you feel grateful, and feeling grateful is good for your mental well-being.
- Mutuality: It promotes wholesome social relationships and may result in additional kindness from the same individual.
See why you need to develop the ability to express your gratitude respectfully and extensively.
